Loving the new position as manager at the shop. It's both fun and rewarding. I love all the amazing volunteers. Been busy getting stuff rearranged and starting the process of bringing Christmas out. I actually got the Facebook started to publicize the shop and items for sale more, and hopefully get in more volunteers. It's SouthWind Thrift if you are interested in checking it out. I still have a way to go but it's a start.

 My sidewalk sign.

The current proceeds from the shop- the Hope Center (does free health clinic, clothing, pantry, clothes, furniture, help with bills) and P.A.H.S (humane society).
A look from the front of the store.

Weird fact about me... I love puns. In fact the Xanth series by Piers Anthony has always been one of my favorite book series. Anyway, I thought I would share some funny puns with you. ❤

The wind on my walk to work made the leaves dance. Everytime I went to video or take a picture it stopped.

Great news! I got the management position at a non-profit thrift shop. It only gives to local in town charities- food bank, humane society, soup kitchen, ECT. My new schedule will be packed for a bit during the transition. I'm still working home health care Monday and Tuesday, and the thrift shop Wednesday through Saturday. The last management quit putting the effort into it. So, I have a lot on my plate to make up for. Including getting new volunteers. A lot of the volunteers are 70+ years old and can't do much. Needless to say I'm excited.

Fall is one of my favorite times of year. I love the colors.  Reminders that change is not a bad or scary thing. It can be absolutely beautiful.

I've been caught up reading books. I absolutely love reading. I always am reading at least one spiritual or learning book and some non serious books at the same time. That way I have time to absorb. My current I think you might like this book – "Between Death and Life - Conversations with a Spirit: An internationally acclaimed hypnotherapist's guide to past lives, guardian angels and the death experience" by Dolores Cannon.

Start reading it for free: http://a.co/j0SFePe

Along with a couple random paranormal romance or erotica. Hehe.

I slept my weekend away. The doctor put me on new meds for my neuropathy in my hands and feet. Well needless to say I zonked. Hoping it levels out soon. To much living and adventure to do rather than sleeping my life away.

Anyway, I thought I would share a recipe that my mom made all the time while I was growing up.

My client let me copy (in my case take pictures) of old recipes. Thought I would share with you all! Enjoy. Let me know how it turns out if you try! ❤

I really do enjoy my walk to and from work everyday. It definitely helps to dispel negativity before and after work. Which when dealing with schizophrenic clients, it is a must. Some days are definitely easier than others. This had been a hard week. My heart goes out to those who have it or deal with it. ❤ Anyway, this was my walk to work this morning.
Have fun when you can. Don't take life so serious.

Basking in the sun before work.. Always perks me up.

 Beautiful moss.

The sky looked beautiful.

Here is an October pick me up, enjoy!

A little about myself.. I am currently 39 years old, have an amazing 16 year old (that feels like going on 30 year old). I currently do home health care. Some days are amazing. Other days I have to ask myself what is this teaching me?  So, I love things that inspire me, make me laugh, or love!

I have way more hobbies than I have time for. One of my passions is cooking. I didn't think about taking a picture til most of the food was gone. Oops.
Crab Rangoon. Cream cheese, onion, crab/imitation, tiny diced 1/4 jalapeno (my family likes the small kick), tsp sugar, dash worcestershire, and dash soy sauce.

Chicken and noodle stir fry.
Chopped chicken, colored bell peppers, onion, garlic, ginger, carrots, broccoli, cauliflower, water chestnuts, mushrooms, noodles. Broth, hoisin sauce, soy sauce.
Everyday is something new if you pay attention to each moment. In my journey to remain mindful and present, I get so inspired no matter where my mind wonders.
Look who was out in the yard!

Love seeing the moon, even in the day.

I was gazing at the moon in the previous picture, tripped over a brick. Figured the universe was saying "hey pay attention!" So next couple feet was this.

The sunshine made the tree look like it was just glowing. The picture sadly didn't quite capture the glow. But I still find it beautiful.

Small things like this.. Signs of critters. Yes, this is the flooded run off's normal dry.

Monday, October 8, 2018

Well it's been raining like crazy.  This is drainage runoff.  Which is usually completely dry.
Life has been busy. Between work and family have kept me busy. My mom went in hospital and luckily is now supposed to get out Tuesday. Yay. So my biggest accomplishment was making beirocks.
ground beef, chopped onion, chopped bell pepper, coleslaw mix, chopped garlic, black pepper. I cheated and used canned biscuits and sliced cheese to stuff.

Candle holder
Made with a salsa jar, polymer clay, flat marbles for the eyes.

Polymer clay moon

The stars and moon I coated in glow in the dark paint.

My Halloween signs. I used glow in the dark paint on the ghosts, stars, moon and jackolantern faces.
