 My son loves H.P. Lovecraft. So, I am making this for him for Christmas. I obviously still have a ways to go. I carved the outline and wood burned. After I finish drawing it out, I will carve out. Not sure if I will paint or stain it yet. Still deciding.

One Christmas gift done

 My best friend has been my bestie since 7th grade. We have been through a lot over the years. She absolutely loves motorcycles and of course the men who ride them. 😉 Since she is coming to visit this weekend, I wanted to have her presents ready. 

I think they turned out ok. I really need to get smaller paint brushes. Had to use toothpicks. 🤦

Christmas.. Ugh

 Trying to start coming up with my ideas for Christmas gifts. I always do a mix of bought and handmade.  I haven't been feeling very holidayish lately. But i do have a couple ideas. My bestie loves motorcycles. So i plan on an etched shot glass and cup set. On that my struggle is what font i want to do. I etch by hand- no machine.  Decisions. For another friend who is pagan- a sign that says "No Soliciting- violators will be sacrificed to the Old Gods, not the New" 

Still trying to work on other ideas. 

What sounds better on a Sunday morning?

 This morning I was in the mood for bagels. I had found a recipe that i had to try. Just greek yogurt and flour... Of course I'm in.

Cold weather comfort

 The cold weather has me craving comfort foods. I made a basic pie crust. Made a chicken pot pie with ingredients i had on hand. 

Made a pumpkin tart with the leftover pie crust. Didn't take a picture of it. Lol

Vision board

 I have been working on a vision board for some time. Rather you are a believer in the laws of attraction- they are wonderful way to set and envision goals for yourself. I am getting ready to start a second. The point is to put it where you see it daily and envision as you look at it, even in passing.  Here is my first one. I have it by my bedroom door. 

These are all my goals. Spirituality, travel, adventure, prosperity, positive self image, healthy ect.. 

On the other side of my doorway is a quote i printed at my last job. I had burned out at it and needed to remind myself. 

Current projects

These are some of my current works in progress.

The sign: I printed the words off in reverse. Then modpodged to the wood. Let dry overnight, then with wet sponge rubbed off the paper.  Painted over the lettering with modpodge, added the glitter. Painted the broomstick a combination of brown and tan. Painted black around the outside, then watered down black over all, dry cloth smudged off. Modpodged over the glitter. Undecided if i want to do anything else before coating in sealant and adding something to hang.

Next.. The doll. The doll is just a cheap babydoll from Dollar Tree. I painted it a couple coats of white. Then part grey for clothes. The face i did a barn red. Undecided on how to do the eyes. I will seal it before adding red pompoms for the hair and down the chest. I also have lace for around the neck, wrists and feet. Then boom Pennywise.

Updates

 Ok, so alot has been going on in my life. I broke up with the boyfriend. The owner of the store i was manager of sold out. Had to get another job. Ex became homeless so let him back in.  Dumb.. It won't last, it's already at the ugh stage again. Been trying to figure out my life and just live. Find me again.

Rainy Sunday

 Today was one of my days off. I spent the first part of the day sitting on the porch listening to the rain. 

The sky

 This was the sky on the way to Hutchinson 2 weeks ago. I was trying to concentrate on something to keep a panic attack under control. When i saw this i thought back to my childhood and being told a rainbow means God is in control. That and i thought about the event. ♥
